Our dog, Maggie, is a Siberian husky (at least she looks like one, although she was born at a small dog pound run by a local vet).  She is now almost 12 years old and in great shape!  However, she has always had digestive problems, gum problems, bad breath, sloppy stools, etc., and as she got older, these problems were getting worse.  I had always fed our pets the same way – a mix of dry and wet food – but lately the canned food had a distinctly bad smell and I found I was throwing lots of it away.  The recipe had changed for sure – and I think Maggie knew that as well.  She always had weird sounds coming from her stomach, seemed uncomfortable at times…and I had decided that I had to do something.  That’s when I came across Kim and her husband at the Dartmouth Farmers Market and their wonderful product.  Kim’s husband was so informative and obviously believed completely in the raw product and this way of feeding immediately made sense to me.  I have always been interested in nutrition and love to put good food on the table for my family - so it made sense to feed Maggie a more natural diet as well and I was just hoping that she would like it.  Boy, does she like it!  Feeding her is now a joy…I can barely put her bowl down before the food is gone.  She looks forward to her mealtime now – like a kid…even though she is an old lady in dog years!   Wish I had done this sooner.  Maggie eats about a half a pound a day of the Raw Instinct product and here, finally, a fish meal for dogs…dogs love fish but the canned stuff is always reserved for cats!  Maggie also has normal biscuits available throughout the day and she loves Kim’s natural biscuits – which are a substantial treat in themselves.  Maggie seems to be calmer, she seems to have more energy, her stomach doesn’t make strange sounds any more, her stools are healthy and I’m sure she would say “thank you” if she could.  And I can only say “thank you” to Kim for introducing us to this excellent product.  Spread the word!
